I am seeing a trend of 2 polarized movements among black contemporaries (women). At one extreme - the naturalista (No hair- chops it all off) … At the other extreme the unbeweavable (Alll”my” hair- Buys much for it).

Could Chris Rock’s movie juxtaposed with any Beyonce’s video be credited for its this (diametrically opposed) ripple effect, borderline seismic?

Or are they just ephemeral fads?
